Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminar:
The Upper Body
The Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminars: The Upper Body begins at the core, teaching you a simple but very effective means of connecting your findings with your client’s pain or dysfunction. Using a well-defined Feedback Loop, the Foundations Approach makes treatment quite simple. Therapists who have taken seminars through the Foundations Seminars Approach have reported that they learned effective interventions quickly and easily and are able to integrate the newly learned concepts immediately. Even those therapists with previous experience in myofascial release (MFR) trainings find value in the Foundations Approach, not only to learn different approaches/techniques, but through learning ways to use this effective modality. After learning a core understanding of nervous system and soft tissue change, the application of treatment flows smoothly. Autonomic nervous system engagement, cutaneous nerve/skin-based approaches, as well as the more traditional “fascial approaches” to pain relief will all be addressed in an easy to understand fashion. Having a deeper model of understanding of the explanations behind this work makes for a much more effective therapist.
The Upper Body Seminar includes valuable evaluative and treatment perspectives on the arms, shoulders, thorax, neck, and head regions. But more than just a collection of techniques, you will learn how to apply these concepts anywhere in the body, with nuanced variations in stretch direction and style that allows you to further engage your patient in the process and alleviate their pain or symptoms.
In all Foundations Seminars we address moving toward specialization in your practice and how narrowing your range of clients can actually increase your business. Practice problems and suggestions are discussed throughout the class and you will be given the necessary backing to move toward specificity in your practice, which will help it to grow.
Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminars are designed for both beginner and experienced therapists. Massage therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech language pathologists will all find value in these fast paced and enjoyable hands-on classes. Using an easy to follow approach, Foundations Seminars will build the confidence of a beginner to start using this valuable modality from the first day. Those who have taken other myofascial release seminars will find fresh a fresh approach to evaluation and treatment. Integrating a nervous system based approach creates entirely new openings for the therapist to follow. Pain which was previously explained in a nebulous manner, taking into account the supposed far-reaching effects of the fascial system can now be explained in a plausible fashion using simple neuroanatomy and neuroscience. While many therapists may prefer to continue on the fringe of acceptance, many more are reaching for credibility. Foundations Seminars supports you!
The Upper Body Seminar is 20 hours/2.5-days, requires no prerequisites and is approved by NCBTMB for 20 CE Hours. Approval for SLP’s, PT’s, PTA’s, OTR’s, and COTA’s varies on a state-by-state basis. Please inquire for specific approval for these and other professions, as many will have been previously approved.
