I am originally from Cuba. When I came to the United States I became a Chemical Engineer and worked for 3M for 29 years. Before I retired I had the opportunity to study the treatment of soft tissue dysfunction and pain and enjoyed bringing them to a pain free state without medicines. Now I mainly use Myofascial Release, but I incorporate other modalities, exercise and stretches as needed by my clients. I am planning to continue to develop my skills and help as many people as I can, as long as the Lord gives me the health to do it.

I have been teaching at the Florida School of Massage since 1995, and currently teach in the Sports Massage and Connective Tissue modalities. In addition, I mentor Teaching Assistants and facilitate their process of exploring our inquiry-based method of teaching, helping them narrow and focus their goals in an open-ended educational experience. Based on my enriching experiences there, both as a student and an instructor, I hope to be a part of the program for as long as I am physically able.

Beverly has been practicing the Healing Art of Massage since 1996 and has worked alongside such professionals as physical therapists, physicians and homeopaths.
