Seminars Taught: Founder of the Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminars.

Since I started my Myofascial Release training in 1992, I’ve found it to be the most powerful treatment modality that I’ve encountered and, more importantly, that my patients have encountered. Stop the endless cycle of pain.

Through my Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminars, I’ve taken the traditional explanatory narrative of myofascial release and updated it, based on more widely accepted views of neuroscience and have created an easy to assimilate patient-centered model of evaluation and treatment. Classes taught include The Upper Body, The Lower Body, and Neck, Voice, and Swallowing Disorders Seminars. The latter has become a very popular choice for speech-language therapists, voice professionals, as well as other therapists with a license to touch, for incorporating a touch-based model into their current treatment options.

Lorraine A. Calleri is a Licensed (retired) Registered Occupational Therapist and NYS Licensed Massage Therapist. She has worked in various settings in the health related field including: Acute Care, Home Care, ALS/Hospice, Pediatrics, Geriatrics/Long-Term Care, Psychiatry, Physiatry/Rehabilitation, Hand Therapy, and Wellness. Her areas of expertise and interest have included incorporating Spirituality and Wellness into work that assists others to balance Body, Mind, and Spirit. Lorraine brings over 20 years of experience of working as an OTR into her practice of Integrative Bodywork. She has practiced and studied extensively in the areas of Craniosacral Therapy (Upledger), Myofascial Release (Satalino) and Energetic Healing (Brennan/Adler), as well as Reiki and Expressive Arts. “I believe that my approach to treatment of my clients is offering them a place of solstice and solitude to find their own path to the healing that they seek. Our minds and bodies inherently know what is needed to come back to our core essence, so that optimal health is a way of being. It is through my years of experience in treating patients with health issues and receiving bodywork myself that I am integrating all of my resources to support others in their healing journey. I see myself as a conduit, a guide, a ‘holder of space’, for others to experience of being deeply touched. I choose the modalities of Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and Shiatsu, as I believe that working through ‘dis-ease’ we can find the ‘flow of ease’ and allow life to unfold as it is meant to and this then in turn allows for optimal health and well-being.”
